The layered paper art is also called decoupage art.
The word decoupage comes from a french word “Decouper” that means “To cut out”.
This is basically an art of sticking paper cutouts on any object for decoration purpose.
All you need to do is cut out pictures and glue them onto an object and cover those with
coats of glue to protect. We can combine these paper cutouts layers with paint effects
and other decorative elements.
Each layer is sealed with varnishes. This technique is also known as layered cutout art,

3D Layered paper art.

We can have this question: what is the need of 3D paper cut art?
Why are artists making it more complex by adding layers?

So my answer to this is that art has no boundaries, each day artists are trying to create
something unique and more appealing. Layered paper cut art is to give a 3D effect and
in easy words it is all about creating a story in a frame.

Well, A very popular and amazing type of decoupage is 3D Layered paper art that looks
really beautiful. To create a 3d layered paper art you have to think about how you can raise
 up your paper?
A minimum of 4 layers should be there. Well, 3D paper cutout art is all about creating a 3
dimensional image by taking the identical images and cutting out varying sizes of elements
from them and layering them on top of each other. To give the image more depth there
should be spacers between each layer, It helps to give a 3D look.
